I also offer Walk and Talk therapy, where I can meet with a client and hold the entire counselling session outdoors on a pre-planned and safe walking route, with confidentiality held as much as possible.
While walking can be a part of the therapy session, there are also convenient points on each route to sit and continue the session whilst not in motion.
The benefits of outdoor therapy are plentiful, but include the release of healthy endorphins during exercise, the lowering of the stress-associated chemical cortisol, and a greater connection with the natural world. The vast outdoors can help with enabling a client to fully express themselves as they are.
